Gators Picked to Finish Second in SEC

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The No. 24-ranked Florida Gators men's tennis team has been picked to finish second in the conference by league coaches, the SEC announced this morning.
The Gators come in second in the coaches' preseason rankings behind the No. 7-ranked Georgia Bulldogs. UGA earned a share of the regular season title with Texas A&M in 2015.
UF returned seven letterwinners from the 2015 squad and added two freshman, McClain Kessler and Alfredo Perez, who have already broke into the ITA preseason rankings. SEC play will begin on the road for Florida as they travel to Baton Rouge, La. to take on LSU on Friday, March 4 at 6:30 p.m.
The preseason poll is voted on by the men's tennis head coach at each institution and is based on a 13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 vote.
