Florida finished ahead of three of the six teams either ranked or receiving votes in the latest USTFCCCA rankings

LEHIGH, Pa. – Against a women's field featuring six teams who were ranked or received votes in the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings, the unranked Gators finished ahead of all but three of them en route to their fifth-place finish at the Paul Short Run.

Individual top-10 finishes from senior Taylor Tubbs (seventh) and Jessica Pascoe (ninth) paced UF. Sophomore Noora Wallenius (41st) and redshirt sophomore Lauren Perry (48th) both scored inside the top 50 to provide the Gators with enough depth to push them into the top five of the team standings.

On the men's side, senior Carlos Miranda shined with a 13th-place finish. Sophomores Magnus Pettersen (73rd) and Jack Guyton (93rd) were the only other Gators to finish inside the overall top 100.

Florida next competes at the USF Invitational (Oct. 14) and NCAA Pre-Nationals (Oct. 15) in Terre Haute, Ind.
