TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Saturday's results from the ITA Regional Championships Presented by Oracle prove where the UF men's tennis team excels the most – the doubles competition. While the Gators have stayed strong in the singles competition, some new pairs have been working in their favor throughout the weekend. The tournament is hosted by Florida State University and is played at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
Three teams are still in the running for the doubles title, Maxx Lipman and Chase Perez-Blanco, Johannes Ingildsen and Alfredo Perez, and Elliott Orkin and McClain Kessler. All three pairs received top-10 seeds in the tournament – Lipman/Perez-Blanco hold the No. 5 seed, Ingildsen/Perez sits at No. 6, and Orkin/Kessler earned the No. 9 seed.
In the singles competition, Orkin is the last Gator standing in the main draw. The No. 2 seeded senior will face No. 8 Duncan from Georgia Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in a battle to advance to the semifinals. Ingildsen is the sole Gator left in the consolation draw; he will face off against USF's Gozen on Sunday.
Competition will resume Saturday in Tallahassee, and results will be updated throughout the day here.

Format & Scoring
- No-ad scoring will be used in all ITA singles and doubles matches in the fall season.
- In all 2016 ITA Regional Championships events a doubles match must consist of a minimum of an 8-game pro set (tiebreak at 7-all), with the semifinals and finals doubles matches consisting of two out of three sets, with a Match Tiebreak in lieu of the third set.
