Nine starters have dropped for the Gators in the past two games.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The No. 21-ranked Gators (7-2, 5-2) can clinch the SEC East title on Saturday at LSU.
Their biggest obstacle besides Tigers running back Leonard Fournette might be the injury bug.
Florida head coach Jim McElwain updated the injury list at his Monday press conference.
The Gators have suffered a rash of injuries the past two weeks, including regular season-ending injuries to Alex Anzalone (arm), Marcus Maye (arm) and center Cam Dillard (knee).
Meanwhile, quarterback Luke Del Rio (shoulder) remains out and linebacker Jarrad Davis (ankle) is not expected to return for LSU according to McElwain. Defensive end Bryan Cox Jr. (leg) and offensive lineman David Sharpe (leg), both injured in Saturday's 20-7 win over South Carolina, are likely out.
Finally, McElwain said the jury remains out on offensive lineman Tyler Jordan (ankle) and defensive lineman Cece Jefferson (foot). Both will be monitored throughout the week at practice to see how they are progressing.
McElwain added that reserve running back Mark Herndon and receiver C.J. Worton also remain unavailable due to injury as the Gators open practice Monday to prepare for LSU.
