GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A total of 22 current and former Gator student-athletes will participate in fall graduation ceremonies Saturday, Dec. 17. Fall commencement is the first event to take place in the renovated Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center

- Three were part of Gator national championship teams – Kirsti Merritt and Kelsey Stewart (2014, 2015 softball) and Gabriel Aird (2013, 2016 outdoor track & field).
- Swimmer Eduardo Solaeche-Gomez represented Spain in last summer's Olympic Games.
- Two pursuing professional baseball careers - Jonathon Crawford and Casey Turgeon - returned to finish their degrees.
- Two soccer graduates – Savannah Jordan and Betsy Middleton - were named to the 2015 and 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America teams.
- Middleton will graduate summa cum laude as she maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout her entire academic career and successfully defended her thesis with highest honors.University of Florida
