Tabor Has a Plan When Time Arrives for Decision on Future

Florida's junior cornerback is a projected first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gators All-American cornerback Teez Tabor isn't ready to announce whether he is going to enter the NFL Draft or return for his senior season.
But when he does, Tabor plans to have a plan.
"If I decide to go, I'll go out the right way, and if I decide to come back, do it the right way,'' Tabor said following Friday afternoon's practice. "Whichever way it goes I'm going to do it the right way." Teez Tabor
Tabor is projected as a first-round pick by most draft analysts and earned first-team All-SEC honors for the second consecutive year. Tabor has 32 tackles, four interceptions, five pass break-ups and a fumble recovery heading into Florida's Jan. 2 Outback Bowl matchup against Iowa.
Pressed for details about announcing his decision the "right way," Tabor displayed an understanding that no potential NFL career is a solo flight.
"Some guys, they are so ready to leave school … they forget everything that everyone has done with you and done for you and helped you at the school," Tabor said. "I don't want to do that if I decide to come out.
"I would give my thanks to everybody: my tutors, my teachers, my advisors, my coaches. The whole Gator Nation because sometimes people forget that. When you [were] here people was helping you. You wasn't just doing it by yourself."
Tabor is one of four UF defensive players among the first round in ESPN analyst Todd McShay's Mock Draft 1.0. McShay has Tabor and teammates Caleb Brantley, Jarrad Davis and Quincy Wilson among his first-round picks.
Tabor said he wants to return home over Christmas break and discuss his future more before making a final decision.
