Gators Lead Southeast with Five AVCA All-Region Selections

This is the third time in the last four years UF has at least five All-Region honorees
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Florida volleyball placed a region-leading five student-athletes on the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Southeast Region Team, the AVCA announced Tuesday (Dec. 6) morning.
Florida's five All-Region selections are the second-most in any region, trailing only Nebraska's six All-North Region honorees. This is also the third time in the last four years the Gators have at least five All-Southeast Region selections.
Three-time All-American right side Alex Holston collected her fourth All-Region accolade, while junior middle blocker Rhamat Alhassan nabbed her third All-Region laurel. Junior outside hitter Carli Snyder rounded out UF's multi-time selections with her second All-Region plaudit.
Junior libero Caroline Knop, a transfer in her first season with the Gators, and redshirt sophomore setter Allie Monserez, who sat out last year after transferring from South Carolina, both earned All-Southeast Region honors in their UF debuts.
