GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators will be well-represented at the NFL Combine later this month.
The NFL released its official list of invitees on Wednesday afternoon and eight Florida players are invited, including five juniors who opted to forgo their final year of eligibility and enter the draft.
Seniors Jonathan Bullard, Antonio Morrison and Jake McGee will be in Indianapolis the week of Feb. 23-29 to showcase their skills in front of NFL personnel. Senior defensive back Brian Poole is not on the official invitation list and is not expected to participate due to an injury suffered in the East-West Shrine Game last month.
Meanwhile, cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III, defensive lineman Alex McCalister, safety Keanu Neal, running back Kelvin Taylor and receiver Demarcus Robinson are the five Florida juniors invited.
Hargreaves and Bullard are the highest-ranked of the Florida players. Both are potential first-round draft picks. Neal is another player who could go high in the draft based on early projections.
More than 300 players are invited to the combine in preparation for the NFL Draft, which is scheduled April 28-30.
