FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – On a day that Florida track and field head coach Mike Holloway referred to as "monstrous," the Gators posted six top-16 Division I times, three of which cracked the world indoor top 20, along with six times or marks that were logged on the program's all-time indoor top 10.
All three of the world top 20s came in the women's 400 meters at the Tyson Invitational.
Kyra Jefferson, Robin Reynolds, and Claudia Francis logged a 2-3-4 finish with times that ranked third, fourth, and fifth, respectively, on the NCAA Division I Indoor Descending Order List.
Ryan Clark (60 meters), Eric Futch (400 meters), and Yanick Hart (60-meter hurdles) were the other three Gators to post marks that ranked inside the top 16 nationally.
At the Iowa State Classic, Jimmy Clark and Eddie Garcia both decimated their personal records to jump up Florida's all-time indoor top 10 in the 5,000 meters. Clark ran the No. 2-ranked time in school history, while Garcia posted the No. 6-ranked time.

HEARING OUT (COACH) HOLLOWAY
On some of Florida's top performances at Tyson and Iowa State…
"We had a very good day. Yanick Hart has been through a lot, and to see him have a breakthrough in the hurdles today was big. Watching Shayla (Sanders) continue to have great runs was big. She fell asleep a little bit in the final, but part of being a great sprinter is making mistakes and still being able to win; she was able to do that. Ryan Clark had a nice breakthrough tonight in the 60 (meters). We've been looking for that.
"Eric Futch did a wonderful job in the 400 (meters). Nick Uruburu got better. Women's 400 (meters) was unbelievable … it was really fun to watch tonight. All three of those ladies did a great job. I was really proud of them. Skylar (Ross-Ransom) was just a little bit off, but it was still the third-fastest time of her life.
"When you think about what happened at Iowa State, with Jimmy (Clark) and Eddie (Garcia) running personal bests, we got a lot of good things done this weekend. When you go back and look at the overall day, we had a monstrous day. Really good job by a lot of people."
On the men's 400 meters invitational race…
"Not sure what's going on with the men's 400. Besides Eric and the other guys, Najee (Glass) is a little dinged up, Kunle (Fasasi) got knocked around a little bit. We've got to get better there."
On AJ McFarland's personal record in the weight throw…
"Coach (Steve) Lemke has a knack for finding the right person and turning the screws to get them going. He's been telling me that AJ is getting better and better. He actually had a couple of big fouls tonight. There's a lot more there."
On Claudia Francis' transition from the 800 meters to the 400 meters…
"When Claudia got here, the talk was she wanted to be a quarter-miler. She'd run 2:04 (in the 800), but only 53 high (in the 400). Then she runs 2:02 last year. When you go back and look at it, she ran the 400 twice and ran 52 low, split 51 seconds every time she touched a (4x400) relay. She likes that 400 better (than the 800 meters). When we go to Birmingham (for NCAA Indoor Championships), I think she's shown she's one of the top quarter-milers in the country and we need to go out there and get after it."
TRACK TALK
Yanick Hart on moving up to No. 5 on Florida's all-time indoor top 10…
"It's really an ecstatic feeling, knowing that there have been some struggles since my freshman year … that brings forth a really great feeling. I might not have done as well as I wanted to in the final, because I was overly competitive (in the semifinals). But we'll get it right for SECs and, hopefully, nationals."
Hart on improvements he's made that helped him today…
"Coach Holloway and I worked on my start. It's very essential to me finishing the race well. That's something he really got on me about. We've had our ups and downs, but he always says, 'Trust me and everything will come together.' It's just playing out that I'm fully giving him my trust. He's a good man to work with."
Claudia Francis on clocking the No. 5 time on Florida's all-time indoor top 10…
"It felt great. This is my second time running the open 400 meters, ever. On an open track, it's different. I'm trying to get accustomed to the track and my block starts, because I'm so used to running pace-type races. I'm working on my reaction time. But it was a pretty solid race today."
Francis on herself, Kyra Jefferson, and Robin Reynolds all posting top-five Division I times tonight…
"I was pretty happy because I know we all work hard. It was just a huge relief to be able to, for now, secure a spot for nationals."
