McElwain Opens Spring Speaking Tour April 5; White Has 4 Stops

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida football team opens spring practice on Wednesday. Head coach Jim McElwain opens his spring speaking tour April 5.
McElwain is scheduled to speak to the Gainesville Quarterback Club three days prior the annual Orange & Blue Debut spring game, which is the night of April 8 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
This year's speaking tour has nine appearances by McElwain, four by Gators basketball coach Mike White, and four by McElwain's assistant coaches.
McElwain led the Gators to a 10-4 record and SEC East Championship in his first season. White completed his first regular season at UF with a victory at Missouri on Saturday. The Gators face Arkansas in the SEC Tournament in Nashville on Thursday. Mike White The speaking tour by UF coaches is a collaborative effort by the UF Alumni Association, Gator Boosters Inc., and the University Athletic Association.
Other scheduled speaking engagements for McElwain include April 11 in Lakeland (Polk County Gator Club), April 13 in Fort Lauderdale (Broward County Gator Club), April 19 in Jacksonville (Gator Club of Jacksonville), April 26 in Fort Myers (Southwest Florida Gator Club/Naples Gator Club), April 27 in Tampa (Tampa Gator Club/Pinellas Gator Club), May 3 in Melbourne (Space Coast Gator Club), May 25 in Orlando (Central Florida Gator Club) and May 26 in Gainesville (Fightin' Gator Touchdown Club).
Meanwhile, White's appearances include stops April 26 at the Titletown Gator Club in Gainesville, June 21 at the Atlanta Gator Club, June 27 at the Capital Area Gator Club (Tallahassee) and June 29 at the Volusia County Gator Club (Daytona).
The UF assistant football coaches are scheduled to visit the Panhandle Gator Club in Panama City, the Palm Beach County Gator Club in West Palm Beach, the Clay County Gator Club in Orange Park, and the Sarasota/Manatee County Gator Club in Sarasota.
The assistant coaches and specific dates will be announced at a later time.
