Gators Hold Lead at Women’s Golf Clemson Invitational

Sunset, S.C. – The No. 8 Florida women's golf team is in good position to win its fourth straight tournament title, entering Sunday's third and final round of the Clemson Invitational, in Sunset, S.C. The Gators' squad carded a +2 (290) in the second round to stretch its lead to three strokes over No. 33 Furman and the 14-team field.
Freshman Sam Wagner posted the lowest score of the day, an impressive -4 (68), to lead the team and move into a tie for first place. Junior Karolina Vlckova recorded a second-straight round of -3 (69), to also move into a tie for first, at the 6,253-yard Reserve at Lake Keowee.
On Sunday, the Gators will look to take home their sixth tournament title of the season, which would be the most titles in one season for the program since 1986, in which the Gators were crowned National Champions.
