Gator Women’s Golf Selected to NCAA Baton Rouge Regional

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – On Monday night, the No. 6 Florida women's golf team was announced as part of the field for the 2016 NCAA Women's Golf Baton Rouge Regional. Hosted by LSU, the event will be held at the University Club from May 5-7.
The Gators, who will compete as the No. 2 seed in the Regional field, will be attempting to advance to the NCAA Championships for the 26th time in school history.
The NCAA selected a total of 72 teams and 24 individuals to participate in Division I Women's Regionals May 5-7 at four different locations. The top six teams and three individuals from each site will advance to the NCAA Championship May 20-25 at Eugene (Ore.) Country Club.
Morning Drive and Golf Central on the Golf Channel will feature scores, highlights and analysis from the Women's Regional Championships (Thursday-Saturday, May 5-7). Golf Channel Digital will provide up-to-date scoring and news coverage of the Regional Championships. The final three days of the NCAA Championship will be televised by the Golf Channel.
Head Coach Emily Glaser Says: "It's always an exciting time to find out where you will go for Regionals. I know this team would have been excited and prepared to play anywhere. But, it's nice to have a clear picture now of where we are headed and the field we will face."
