Tubbs, Sprint Medley Relay Team Collect Wins for Gators at Penn Relays

Tubbs topped her previous personal record in the 5,000 meters by 20.11 seconds
PHILADELPHIA – The University of Florida track and field program's first two days at the 122nd running of The Penn Relays were highlighted by Taylor Tubbs' victorious performance in the women's 5,000 meters.
Tubbs, a native of Sebring, Fla., topped Thursday night's field with a time of 16:07.55, moving her up to fifth on the program's all-time outdoor top 10. The time also ranks 31st in Division I and 12th in the East Region this year.
Both Ryan Clark (100 meters) and UF's 4x400-meter relay team of Kunle Fasasi, Arman Hall, Hugh Graham Jr., and Najee Glass advanced to tomorrow's finals with relative ease.
UF's second day at the historic track event with a 4-plus-second victory in the sprint medley relay. The team of Clark, Hall, Fasasi, and Andres Arroyo finished in 3:16.87.
The induction of Florida's 2004 4x400 relay team of Sekou Clarke, Reggie Witherspoon, Stefan Pastor, and Kerron Clement, which set The Penn Relays and Franklin Field records with a time of 3:01.10, will be inducted to the meet's Wall of Fame. Saturday's 4x400 relay final is a "Wall of Fame Event in Honor of the 2004 Florida 4x400-Meter Relay."
