Thursday, July 14, 2016 | Men's Basketball
The Gators will tip off their holiday tournament as the nightcap on Thanksgiving.
Florida will face Seton Hall at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 24, Thanksgiving evening, to open action at the AdvoCare Invitational. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
UF and SHU have split two all-time meetings, and this will be the first game between the teams since 1987. The Pirates won the 2016 Big East Tournament to earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament and finished the 2015-16 campaign with a 25-9 record, 12-6 in the Big East, but leading scorer Isaiah Whitehead departed for the NBA after averaging 18.2 points as a sophomore.
The AdvoCare Invitational will be played Nov. 24, 25 & 27 at HP Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando. Florida's game on Day 2 of the event will be vs. Gonzaga or Quinnipiac, depending on the first day's outcomes.
