GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A national-high three University of Florida soccer players appear on the 2016 Missouri Athletic Club's (MAC) Hermann Trophy Watch List, announced Wednesday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
The three Gators among the 36 women on the 2016 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List are seniors Meggie Dougherty Howard, Savannah Jordan and redshirt junior Gabby Seiler.
About the MAC Hermann Trophy
The MAC Hermann Trophy is soccer's highest individual intercollegiate award. The 2016 honor will be presented January 6, 2017 at the annual banquet held at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
The 2015 award went to Raquel Rodriguez, who led Penn State to its first NCAA title during her senior season.

All three Gators were called into U.S. Soccer Under-23 action this year.
What's the Next Step?
Near the end of the collegiate regular season, NCAA Division I coaches will vote and the lists will be narrowed down to the top 15 players. College soccer fans will also have the opportunity to participate in the selection process, by voting for their favorite semifinalist in November at the MAC Hermann Trophy website, managed by LockerDome.
From that pool of 30, six finalists (three men, three women) will be chosen for the award. The winners will be announced January 6.
Gators in 2016:
Florida opens its 22nd season in 2016 with a home weekend versus Iowa State (Aug. 19, 7 p.m.) and Florida Atlantic (Aug. 21, 1 p.m.). Both matches will be played at the James G. Pressly Stadium and admission is free for all Gator soccer regular-season dates.
The Gators are the defending SEC regular-season and tournament champions. Florida advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2015, as the Gators made its 19th appearance in the NCAA Championships' field.

- Dougherty Howard made her debut on a U.S. U-23 roster late this spring, as she was named to the team sent to the June 2-7 Nordic Tournament held at the St. Georges Park, the official training center for the England Football Association. The U.S. U-23 team won the event, with Dougherty Howard getting the start in the final match for the event. The midfielder earned All-Southeastern Conference second team honors in 2015. Her eight assists stood second among the Gators in 2015 and was fifth in the league. She is playing again this summer with the Washington Spirit Reserves of the USL W-League.
- Jordan is one of 25 NSCAA All-Americans on the 2016 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List. A semifinalist for the 2015 award, Jordan finished second in the 2015 NCAA standings with 24 goals and 55 points. The 2015 and 2013 SEC Offensive Player of the Year is currently among the top 10 on the following Florida career lists - No. 4 goals (65), No. 6 points (148), No. T2 game-winning goals (18) and No. 4 shots (342). Jordan joined Dougherty Howard on the U.S.'s 2016 Nordic Tournament roster, scoring three goals through the tournament's three matches.
- Seiler will make her debut in a Gator uniform this fall, as she sat out the 2015 season after transferring from the University of Georgia. In 2014 with the Bulldogs, Seiler was a NSCAA All-South Region second team selection and appeared on the All-SEC first team. She led Georgia in 2014 with nine goals and nine assists for 27 points. Seiler was invited into a U.S. U-23 National Team camp in January of 2016.
