15 Gators Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual Honors

UF's women earned their fifth All-Academic Team honor in the last six years
NEW ORLEANS – The University of Florida track and field program combined for 15 All-Academic Individuals for the 2016 season, the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on Thursday (July 28) afternoon. Florida's women also earned a second consecutive USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award.
On the women's side, 10 Gators earned All-Academic laurels, including All-Americans Jayla Bostic, Lloydricia Cameron, Kyra Jefferson, Darrielle McQueen, and Robin Reynolds. The other honorees were Elisabeth Bergh, Amber Johnson, Ryann McEnany, Kike Oniwinde, and NCAA Outdoor Championships qualifier Taylor Tubbs.
For the men, Maurice Dix, Anders Eriksson, Kunle Fasasi, Mark Mutz, and Antwan Wright earned All-Academic praise. Eriksson, Fasasi, and Wright each earned All-America honors this year as well.
The women's team posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.06 and earned its fifth All-Academic Team honor in the last six years.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, the student athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:

- For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
- For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
