Two-thirds of Florida's SEC schedule will air on CBS, ESPN or ESPN2.
The Gators announced their Southeastern Conference schedule on Tuesday and will be featured on ESPN or ESPN2 a total of 10 times during the league slate this season. That doubles the amount of appearances UF will make on the network's primary channels compared to last season.
Â
All 18 SEC games are set for a national television audience, including a pair of broadcast games on CBS.
The network selections show that television and conference officials are expecting a big year from the Gators. The SEC will have 32 total conference games on ESPN or ESPN2 with the Gators featured in 10, while UF will be on two of the league's six CBS broadcasts. The combined 12 appearances on CBS, ESPN and ESPN2 are second only to Kentucky, and no team outside UF and UK will make more than nine such TV appearances.
In addition to UF's annual series with Georgia, Kentucky and Vanderbilt, the Gators will also have two games against South Carolina and Arkansas. Florida will open the conference schedule with a trip to Arkansas on Dec. 29, while the home opener for conference play will be against Ole Miss on Jan. 4.
The breakdown of home and road opponents looks like this:
Â
- Home and away: Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vanderbilt
- Home only: Ole Miss, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas A&M
- Away only: Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State
For the second straight season, the Gators will wrap the season with four of their final six games on the road, including trips to Kentucky (Feb. 25) and the regular season finale at Vanderbilt (March 4).
Season tickets are available now and single game tickets and mini-plans will be available on October 19.
