GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida head coach Jim McElwain watched receiver Antonio Callaway at practice on Wednesday and afterward said Callaway is "highly questionable to doubful" for Saturday's game against North Texas.
Callaway suffered a quad injury during Florida's 45-7 win over Kentucky and has been limited at practice this week.
"He got about three periods in and that's about it," McElwain said. "It loosened up really good this morning when he was in for treatment. Got a lot out of that, but I didn't feel we got a lot out of [practice on Wednesday]."
In addition, McElwain said starting right guard Tyler Jordan will miss "a couple of weeks" due to an eye injury. With Jordan out, Fred Johnson is expected to play right guard and Jawaan Taylor at right tackle.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Gators coach Jim McElwain will be watching receiver Antonio Callaway closely at practice on Wednesday afternoon.
Callaway is questionable for Saturday's game against North Texas due to a quad injury suffered in the victory over Kentucky. Callaway is off to a fast start for the Gators. He is averaging 100.5 yards per game and is coming off a career-high 129-yard game against the Wildcats that included a 78-yard touchdown reception.
Callaway returned to practice Tuesday and earlier in the week McElwain pointed toward Wednesday's practice as being key to whether Callaway would play Saturday.
"He tried. He went through most of [practice]. It's an interesting thing because it's one of those deals as the more you run and get it kind of heated up, the looser it becomes. But he definitely wasn't himself. A lot of times that's the case on Tuesdays."
A sophomore from Miami, Callaway is Florida's most dangerous offensive weapon. He caught a career-high eight passes for 72 yards in the opener and then followed that with a breakout game in Florida's SEC opener.
McElwain is anxious to see how Callaway responds at practice.
"I'll be looking, excited to see how he looks today, especially as it goes all the way through practice because you could see he could run a little bit better as he worked through it,'' McElwain said.
