The Gators face Tennessee on Saturday with little change in their depth chart other than at quarterback.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Unless you have
really been disconnected the past two days, you knew Florida's depth chart heading into Saturday's game at Tennessee was going to have a different look.
The change of course is at quarterback, where Purdue graduate transfer
Austin Appleby starts in place of injured
Luke Del Rio.
Florida's loaded backfield remains a four-headed attack with
Jordan Scarlett,
Jordan Cronkrite,
Mark Thompson and
Lamical Perine all listed equally at tailback.
If receiver
Antonio Callaway (quad) can play, he will start at the X-receiver spot with
C.J. Worton and
Chris Thompson behind him on the depth chart. Gators head coach
Jim McElwain said Monday that Callaway remains hobbled and questionable for Saturday.
Callaway was hurt in Florida's win over Kentucky and did not play in Saturday's 32-0 victory over North Texas.
With right guard
Tyler Jordan ruled out for the second consecutive game with an eye injury,
Fred Johnson or
Richerd Desir-Jones will start in Jordan's spot. Desir-Jones started against North Texas and Johnson later replaced him.
Here is a look at this week's Florida depth chart:
