GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida's depth chart remains very similar heading into Saturday's road game at Missouri.
However, quarterback is the one question as we move through this week.
Interim head coach
Randy Shannon announced on Monday that he is reopening the quarterback battle between redshirt freshman
Feleipe Franks and fifth-year senior
Malik Zaire. Franks has started six of seven games this season, while Zaire appeared in relief of Franks against Michigan and Georgia.
In addition, Shannon announced that rookie running back
Malik Davis would miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury. With that, Florida will rely on sophomore
Lamical Perine and redshirt senior
Mark Thompson to carry the load.
Florida's receiving core is hoping to get sophomore
Josh Hammond back from injury, while on the offensive line
Fred Johnson and
Tyler Jordan are battling for the starting job at right guard.
UF's defense remains unchanged from a week ago.
However, look for veteran
Cristian Garcia to see more time at linebacker.
