Gators in the NFL – Week Nine

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Another Sunday full of NFL action has come and gone, and 46 Gators on 26 teams took to the field for week nine action on the gridiron.
Gators can be found all throughout the NFL, and the 46 current Gators in the NFL puts Florida inside the top-5 for the most players from one university.
Trey Burton stood out this week for the Eagles, recording two receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown. Burton was an undrafted rookie free agent in 2014 before signing with the Eagles and making their 53-man roster to start the season. While at UF Burton played a multitude of positions before finding a home at receiver his senior year. During his time at Florida, Burton recorded 1,696 yards from scrimmage and scored 20 touchdowns.
