GAINESVILLE, Fla. - In the latest reports from the NCAA, the University of Florida was once again recognized as a top performer in its success graduating student athletes.
The Graduation Success Rates (GSR) published on Wednesday show that 83 percent of UF student-athletes completed their degree in the latest cycle, over 20 points higher than the national average (62 percent) among all member schools.
All 21 of Florida's sports recorded GSR's above the national rate with four teams scoring a perfect 100: women's basketball, lacrosse, soccer and softball.
This fall, UF reached No. 9 in the rankings among public institutions on US News and World Reports annual list. In the spring of 2017, the overall GPA of UF student-athletes was 3.04 and 88 student-athletes earned their degree in the 2016-17 academic year.
Each year the NCAA releases a report measuring the GSR of member schools. The latest report includes information about the most recent six-year graduating class of students and student-athletes who entered as freshmen in 2010-11.
