KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Five Gators collected All-America accolades from the American Volleyball Coaches Association, and for the first time in program history were four Gators named first-, second-, or third-team All-Americans.
Only Florida (four) and Stanford (five) had more than three individuals named first-, second-, or third-team All-Americans.
Senior middle blocker Rhamat Alhassan led Florida's honorees with the second first-team All-America plaudit of her career. Alhassan joins Olympian Kelly Murphy (2008-11) as the only other Gator in history to earn a spot on one of the AVCA All-America teams all four years of her career.
