GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Two Gators –
Alicia Boren and
Alex McMurtry – collected Southeastern Conference Gymnastics weekly honors, the league office announced Tuesday. It is a repeat of the Jan. 24 weekly honors, as Boren is the SEC Gymnast of the Week and McMurtry claims the SEC Specialist of the Week.

This is the second such honor of the season for both, as each claimed a pair of individual honors in Florida's 197.975-196.525 win versus then No. 9 Georgia Friday. It is the second SEC Gymnast of the Week honor for Boren and McMurtry picks up the seventh Specialist of the Week honor of her career.

Boren's Performance:
The nation's top all-around total of the weekend gave Boren her second all-around win of the season. Her 39.725 versus Georgia on Feb.10 is her collegiate high. It was her third all-around win of her career.

She also matched her collegiate-high of 9.95 to win her second floor title of the season. Boren took second on vault (9.95) and beam (9.925) with season bests and also matched her collegiate bars best of 9.9.

In the current
Road to Nationals rankings, Boren is No. 4 in all-around (39.517 season average), No. 6 in vault (9.912), No. 8 in floor (9.913) and No. T16 on beam (9.863).

Boren is second among the 2017 Gators with seven event titles (2 all-around beam, floor, 1 vault).

MCMURTRY'S PERFORMANCE:
A perfect 10.0 gave McMurtry her fourth uneven bars win of the 2017. It was her third 10.0 on bars and the fourth perfect mark of her career as she also earned the score for vault in 2015.

McMurtry equals Florida career record of uneven bars perfect marks with
Melanie Sinclair (2007-09), who also had three 10.0s on the event. She is one of three in the nation to earn a 10.0 bars mark in 2017 (and the first in the SEC).

She also matched her collegiate beam best of 9.95 to take that event title. It was her seventh 9.95 on the event of her last 15 performances.

She also took third on vault with a 9.90. Her eight event titles (4 bars, 2 beam, vault) leads UF in 2017.

In current Road to National rankings – No. 4 on bars (9.929 season average), No. 5 on vault (9.917) and No. 10 on beam (9.875).
