Seven Gators are ranked among the nation's top singles players.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Fueled by last weekend's pair of wins against two of the best teams in the country, Florida remained atop the Oracle/ITA Division I Women's Tennis Rankings that we were released Tuesday.
Florida (9-0) remained unscathed after one of the most competitive home weekends in recent memory, as the Gators earned wins against No. 6 Oklahoma State and No. 5 Stanford on consecutive days.
The pair of victories extended UF's home win streak to 163 matches, which is the longest active streak of its kind among all NCAA Division I teams in any sport.
Over a 10-day span capped with the win over the Cardinal on Sun., Feb. 19, the Gators defeated six team ranked in the top-13, with four of those against top-6-ranked foes.
Florida now takes a well-deserved break from competition and returns to action on March 3, when the squad opens its Southeastern Conference slate on the road at LSU.
The individual singles and doubles rankings also were released Tuesday and the list featured seven Gators among the nation's top singles players along with four doubles teams:
Gators in the National Singles Rankings (7)
