
Rivalry Week: Gators vs. Canes

After a rainout on Wednesday night, the Florida baseball team is anxious to return to the diamond and they'll do so against in-state rival Miami this weekend.
The No. 17-ranked Hurricanes travel to Gainesville for a three-game series that kicks off on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Saturday's game will also start at 6:30 p.m. and the finale is slated for 1 p.m. on Sunday. All three games will be broadcast online via SEC Network+.Β
There will also be a shuttle available from the Commuter Lot on Gale Lemerand Drive that will drop fans off at McKethan Stadium.

SHUTTLE INFORMATION
The UF campus will be busy on Friday night, as both the baseball team and gymnastics team have home events scheduled. The O'Connell Center parking lot and garage are available on a first come, first served basis until full. Fans must enter off SW 2nd Avenue.There will also be a shuttle available from the Commuter Lot on Gale Lemerand Drive that will drop fans off at McKethan Stadium.
SERIES HISTORY
Miami leads the all-time series 128-117-1, however, Florida leads 71-47-1 in Gainesville. UF has won the past two regular-season series (2-1 both times) and also won two games over the Canes in Omaha in 2015. Over the past 10 meetings, the Gators are 7-3 against the Canes.QUICK HITS
- Junior Dalton Guthrie has opened the season with a four-game hitting streak, recording multiple hits in three of the Gators four games. He's 7-for-16 (.438) overall with 6 runs scored.
- After going 0-for-3 in the opener, freshman Austin Langworthy has a three-game hitting streak (5-for-9, .555) with a home run, double and one stolen base.
- On the mound, a trio of sophomores stole the spotlight. Michael Byrne, Jackson Kowar and Brady Singer combined for 20.2 innings with 2 ER allowed and 28 strikeouts. Byrne started Tuesday night and dominated, striking out 8 with no runs allowed in 7 innings.
