The Gators have five games this week, two midweek matchups against UCF (home and away) and a weekend series with Columbia.
Florida returns to the field Tuesday night for game one of a midweek series against the UCF Knights. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at McKethan Stadium with freshman
Nate Brown slated to make his first career start.

KEY NOTES OF WEEK:
- Florida's starting pitchers dominated the week, totaling 29 innings with just one run allowed and racking up 34 strikeouts to just seven walks
- UF improved to 6-1 on the season after a weekend sweep of No. 17 Miami (Fla.) in Gainesville
- Florida shutout Miami (1-0 on Friday, 2-0 on Saturday) in back-to-back games for the first time in 248 meetings and allowed just two runs in 27 total innings (0.67 ERA)
- Weekend starters Alex Faedo, Brady Singer and Jackson Kowar each picked up wins and combined for 22 innings and just one run allowed on 11 hits
- Faedo shut out Miami through 8.2 innings before being relieved in the opener and Singer blanked the Canes for 7.2 innings on Saturday and racked up 11 strikeouts
- The Gators bullpen also did its job over the weekend, limiting Miami to one run in five innings and recording two saves
- Offensively, Christian Hicks led the way last week with a .571 average (4-for-7)
- Dalton Guthrie proved to be a spark plug once again with a .429 average (6-for-14) and a team-leading six hits on the week
- Jonathan India had a team-best 3 RBI
- Deacon Liput extended his hitting streak to six games
- Guthrie, Liput and Austin Langworthy have reached base in all seven games this season
SEC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
#21 RHP Alex Faedo, Jr.
- Pitched 8.2 scoreless innings against #17 Miami on Friday night in a 1-0 win; would have had the complete game shutout if not for an error with two outs in the ninth
- Extended his scoreless innings streak against Miami to 15 innings dating back to last season
- Struck out 8 batters with just one walk and two hits allowed
