GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida moves up five spots to No. 6 in the latest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Rankings, as recognition for the Gators' two huge wins over USC and UCLA just keeps coming. Six Gators made it into the February 8th individual rankings, with five singles and one doubles pair representing UF.
Alfredo Perez improved to No. 9, moving up four spots from his No. 13 preseason ranking, while Elliott Orkin also advanced four spots to take the No. 60 position in the rankings. McClain Kessler and Jordan Belga moved down in the rankings, while freshman Johannes Ingildsen took the No. 109 spot after not appearing in the 2017 preseason rankings.
The doubles pair of Ingildsen and Perez fell in the rankings, but still remains a top 10 team at No. 7. They are the only SEC doubles pair represented in the rankings.
Florida will still face six of the top 25 teams in the rest of the season as they host Ohio State University (3), Texas A&M (25) and Mississippi State (16) at home, and visit Virginia (1), Kentucky (15) and Georgia (10).
In the inaugural USTA College Tennis Top 25 team rankings, Florida tied for the No. 3 position alongside Wake Forest with 135 ranking points from the USTA panel of voters.

About the USTA College Tennis Top 25 Rankings
The USTA College Tennis Top 25 team rankings is a new weekly poll of a panel of college tennis experts that will be released each Wednesday through the conclusion of the NCAA Division I college season in May. Each team's point total is the sum of its ranking points from the USTA's panel of eight voters. Each voter ranked 25 teams from Nos. 1 to 25, with the first-place team receiving 25 points and the last-place team receiving one. For control, the highest and lowest outlying ranking for each team on the ballot was removed. Therefore, the maximum number of points a team can receive is 150. First-place votes were not tallied. A number of these programs will be featured live on ESPN3 through WatchESPN and the ESPN app this season as part of the College MatchDay series.
