
The third of three meetings this season between Florida and Florida State is set for Tuesday night in Tallahassee, the finale in the Fresh from Florida Sunshine Showdown.
Florida (21-11, 6-6 SEC) won the first two meetings against Florida State (21-13, 7-8 ACC), shutting out the Seminoles 1-0 in Gainesville on March 14 and winning 4-1 in Jacksonville on March 28.
In two meetings against FSU, the Gators pitching staff has a 0.50 earned run average (1 ER in 18 innings) with 15 strikeouts and four walks. At the plate, junior
Christian Hicks has three hits against the Noles while
Mike Rivera has a team-best three RBI.
Freshman
Tyler Dyson will be making his first career start on Tuesday night. He's appeared 10 times out of the pen with seven scoreless outings. His longest outing thus far has been 2.0 IP.
