GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gator Chomp connects generations of Gator fans, and it's synonymous with the University of Florida.
Whether it's a fan, student-athlete or Coach McElwain (pictured above), the stories behind why each individual is doing that Gator Chomp rarely get told.
That's changed.
ChompStories.com gives Gator Nation a chance to tell its story. Beginning on Wednesday, April 26 through Florida's social media platforms (@GatorsFB) and on FloridaGators.com, the first of six unique Chomp Stories will be rolled out about devoted Gator fans.
In addition to these six stories, all fans are encouraged to submit their own Chomp Story.
Visit chompstories.com and submit your story directly on that page. Fans are also able to submit their stories by using ChompStories on Twitter or Instagram. Any post on those two social media outlets with the hashtag ChompStories will be aggregated by the website chompstories.com.
Below are the bios and for the first two #ChompStories. Please visit chompstories.com to view their complete videos.
- Jerome Millman
- Millman is a light-hearted Gator fan from High Springs, Florida. However, underneath his pleasant demeanor is an intense passion for the Florida Gators that has led him to hundreds of Gator games over the years and even designing his house to display his collection of Gator memorabilia. Oh yeah, and he was also Billy Donovan's tailor during Coach Donovan's time in Gainesville.
#ChompStories - Jerome Millman is first! He has been a season ticket holder since 1986!

- Cindy Wilsbach
- When driving to Gators Football games from the Orlando, Jacksonville, or even the west side of Gainesville seems hectic, just remember Cindy Wilsbach. Cindy, and her husband (Air Force Lieutenant General Kenneth S. Wilsbach) live in Alaska and still hold on to their Gator Football season tickets. Cindy and Ken have lived all over the world (Hawaii, Alaska, Okinawa Japan, etc.) and have retained their Gator Football season tickets throughout their adventures, never going a year without attending at least one Gator Football game.
#ChompStories - Cindy Wilsbach is next! She has been a season ticket holder since 2004!

- Pete Calamore
-
You may not know Pete, but you certainly know Pete's sign. Pete is a UF grad and is famous for faithfully bringing the "Work 'em Silly, Gators" sign to each and every Gator home football game. His sign is now a Gator staple even appearing in video games, ESPN segments, and occasionally…rival stadiums!

- Michael
-
One of the few international Gator Football season ticket holders, Michael is a police officer and Gator fanatic from Toronto, Canada. After becoming a Gator fan while visiting one of his friends on the UF campus, Michael's allegiance has grown and grown, and he enjoys spreading the Gator love throughout Toronto and greater Canada.

- Austin
-
Austin was born in 1999 to Lisa and Dave of Fort Myers, Florida. During the Florida vs. Florida State football game the fall before Austin was born, Lisa, a self-proclaimed "sassy Seminole fan", made a bet with her husband Dave that the Seminoles would beat Dave's Gators. However, the wager wasn't a normal one. Instead of betting something standard like a dinner, Lisa and Dave bet on their first-born son's college football allegiance. The rest for Austin, Dave, and Lisa is history.

- Titus O'Neil
-
Hailing from Live Oak, Florida, Thad earned a scholarship from The Head Ball Coach, Steve Spurrier, after receiving direction from one of his mentors. After a well-rounded UF experience (he was not only a Football player but also the student-body Vice President), he's gone on to a remarkable career as a WWE wrestler. Even with the unbelievable travel schedule (3-5 days a week), Thad still finds time to remain a part of the Gator Football team, and loves to give back in the name of the Florida Gators.
