GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Two gymnasts -
Jazmyn Foberg and
Nicole Webb - will join the University of Florida team for the 2018 season, Florida Head Coach
Jenny Rowland announced today.
Foberg is an International Elite competitor and twice was a member of the U.S. Junior National Team. She trained alongside 2016 U.S. Olympian Laurie Hernandez at MG Elite. An ankle injury slowed Foberg in 2016, but she was part of the first U.S. Senior training camp in 2017.
Webb trains at the same gym that produced Gator All-American
Rachel Slocum. She took third on balance beam at the Level 10 Regionals held earlier this month. Webb also took second on beam and fifth on floor exercise at the 2017 North Carolina Level 10 Championships.
Rowland Says:
"Jazzy is an exciting, talented athlete who will make an immediate impact for the Gators. Her success as an international athlete, power, confidence and consistency will be a huge asset in her collegiate career. I have no doubt that she will become a fan favorite of the Gator Nation for years to come!" – Florida Head Coach
