SZCZECIN, Poland – Florida volleyball alum Alex Holston signed with KPS Chemik Police, a professional women's volleyball club in Poland, earlier this month.
"It's a really good team," Holston said, via a recent phone call with FloridaGators.com. "They're in the Champions League, and that's something that really interested me and sparked my interest in them. That's one of the top teams in Europe, and it's a top league in Europe.

Holston's new team has won six Polish Championships, including each of the last four, and six Polish Cups, with three of those coming in the last four seasons. KPS Chemik Police also won the Polish Super Cup in 2014 and 2015.
The club competes in the highest division of Polish volleyball, Orlen Liga. The club is also set to compete in European competitions in the 2017-18 season, including the Champions League qualifying and group stages this June and November, respectively.
Before joining the team in Poland this September, Holston is completing an internship with Separation Sports Management in Washington D.C., which puts her on track to officially graduate in August.
Holston completed her collegiate career with the Gators this past December. The Olney, Md. native ranks fifth in career kills (1,506) and points (1,712), eighth in career attacks (3,225), and ninth in career kills per set (3.40) in the Florida record books.
The 2014 SEC Player of the Year was also one of six Gators in history (Rhamat Alhassan, Aury Cruz, Benavia Jenkins, Kelly Murphy, Angie McGinnis) to earn a spot on one of the three AVCA All-America Teams three times in her career. Holston was a first-team selection in 2014, third-team honoree in 2015, and a second-team pick in 2016.
