In anticipation of questions that will arise, below is a list of frequently asked questions about the Booster Contribution Adjustment.
When does the Gator Booster Contribution Adjustment take effect?
- The 2018 football season.
How does this affect my contribution?
- Required contribution is determine by two different methods.
- Donating the minimum per-seat contribution that is required by the section where your seats are located.
- Season tickets are obtained through a contribution at one of our various levels. This helps achieve priority in the seat assignment process. Remember, how you obtained your seats/parking, is how you retain your seats/parking.
- Example: If a Booster is contributing at the Bull Gator level, they will get to select or improve those seats based on Bull Gator priority status. In addition, that booster would have to maintain that contribution level in future years to keep those seats.
How did Gator Boosters determine which seats are increased?
- Legends, an outside firm, conducted market and fan feedback to assess the UAA's current pricing and contributions model. The UAA used the results of their research to formulate a plan for 2018 that will create a more balanced seating structure and provide options that are more flexible for season ticket holders.
When is the last time we had an increase?
- This is the first such change since 2013.
What are my options to secure my seat location for the 2018 season?
- Season Ticket Renewals Open in January 2018
- Retain/Upgrade
- Season tickets can be renewed in the current seat location.
- Donors will have the opportunity to upgrade their seats in The Gator Ticket Offices online select-a-seat event in April of 2018.
- Relocate
- Donors can continue as a season ticket holder, but release their current seat locations during the 2018 renewal process in order to relocate to a lower per seat donation area.
- Transfer
- Policy: Gator Boosters Transfer Policy
- Release
- Donors can choose not renew their season tickets, which would release their seat locations. Those seats would subsequently be made available to other fans.
- Retain/Upgrade
How does the seat selection process work?
- Gator Boosters have the ability to select their seats through a "Virtual Venue" of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
- Appointment times are set based on the donor's contribution level (Bull Gator, Grand Gator, Scholarship Club, etc.) and then their Loyalty Points within that level.
Are there any special programs available to assist me with this process?
- The Gator Ticket Office and Gator Boosters are committed to providing donors with as much assistance as possible to help explain the options available to each individual for the 2018 season. In addition, their goal is to make the seating decision that best meets each person's needs and desires.
