
15 Gators Playing Summer Ball

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- With the 2017 national-title season wrapped up, Florida baseball players have hit the road for summer ball.
While some players are getting much-needed rest, there are 15 Gators on rosters in four different collegiate summer leagues.
Five players have joined teams in the prestigious Cape Cod League. Jonathan India returned to the Harwich (Mass.) Mariners for the second straight summer while Deacon Liput rejoined the Falmouth (Mass.) Commodores. Austin Langworthy will join Liput on the Commodores this year.
Michael Byrne and Blake Reese have joined the (Mass.) Kettleers roster for the remainder of the summer.
Six players have headed to the Midwest to play in the Northwoods League. Andrew Baker, Nate Brown and Tyler Dyson joined the Madison (Wis.) Mallards. Austin Bodrato, Nick Long and Billy McKay will compete for the Kenosha (Wis.) Kingfish.
Keenan Bell and Cole Maye headed to Virginia to join the Charlottesville TomSox of the Valley League.
Kirby McMullen and Cam Weinberger joined the Olean Oilers, reigning champions of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.
