Hut, Hut: Gators QBs continue to battle for starting job

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gators head coach Jim McElwain needed only four words on Friday when asked if there was a frontrunner in Florida's three-man quarterback battle.
The race between Feleipe Franks, Luke Del Rio and Malik Zaire appears on its way to a photo finish according to McElwain's measured response.
"It's tough to say,'' he said.
Meanwhile, the three players in the running for the job had much more to say as they each spent about 25 minutes answering questions from the media on Friday at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
To me, the most interesting dynamic in the race is Del Rio's re-emergence as a real factor and a large portion of the fan base having written him off long ago. I will have more on that storyline this weekend on FloridaGators.com.
Meanwhile, below is video of each player's interview as they, like us, continue to be intrigued by how the race will end heading into Florida's season opener in two weeks against Michigan.
