KEY NOTES OF WEEK:

Florida had a perfect week, going 5-0 with a pair of midweek wins over UNF and a weekend sweep of Stony Brook…The pitching staff dominated, posting a 1.20 ERA and recording two shutouts…UF struck out 41 batters with just six walks over 45.0 innings last week and limited hitters to a .194 average…At the plate, Florida hit .329 and averaged 7.0 runs per game in its five wins…Three players hit over .400 on the week: Wil Dalton (.478, 11-for-23), Austin Langworthy (.429, 6-for-14) and Brady Smith (.400, 6-for-15)…Dalton had three home runs on Friday with six RBI in the win over Stony Brook…On the mound, freshman Jordan Butler pitched 8.0 scoreless innings over two appearances with just two hits allowed…Jackson Kowar improved to 3-0 with 6.1 shutout innings in Saturday's win…The UF bullpen allowed just one run in 15.0 innings last week (0.60 ERA)…Michael Byrne had 4.2 shutout innings and picked up two saves, bringing his season total to three.

  • Made his first career start, on the road, at UNF and pitched 6.0 shutout innings with just one hit allowed
  • Struck out six with no walks at UNF
  • Entered in the seventh inning on Saturday against Stony Brook with the bases loaded, one out, and didn't allow a run
  • Pitched two scoreless innings in relief; has 4.0 scoreless innings out of the bullpen this season
