Hudson Named Co-SEC Player of the Week

Third conference player of the week award for Jalen Hudson
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Jalen Hudson was named as the Co-SEC Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
This is the third time this season that Hudson has been tabbed as the player of the week. He also won the award on Nov. 27th and Jan. 22nd.
Hudson averaged 24.5 points per game as the Gators wrapped up conference play with wins over Alabama and No. 23/25 Kentucky.
He led the team in scoring in both games while shooting the ball at over a 60 percent clip while converting on more than 50 percent of his three point attempts.
The junior netted 27 points in Tuesday's win over Alabama. His first 10 points came in 2:39 minutes from the 13:06 mark to the 10:27 mark of the first half. In that stretch, the Gators went from down five (7-2) to up six points (16-10). They led the rest of the game winning by 21 points.
Hudson's game-high 22 points in the regular season finale versus No. 23/25 Kentucky helped Florida complete their sixth season sweep of the Wildcats in school history.
