Gators host Missouri during #WeChompWeekend

After being away from the Mac for over a week, the No. 1 Gators return home for a three-game series against Missouri beginning Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
GAINESVILLE, Fla.--After being away from the Mac for over a week, the No. 1 Gators return home for a three-game series against Missouri beginning Friday night at 6:30 p.m.

Due to a rainy forecast on Sunday, the Gators and Tigers will now play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 4 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY

Florida is 17-4 all-time against Missouri, including a 10-1 mark in Gainesville. The Tigers have not won a game at UF since joining the SEC, having been swept in 2014 and 2016.

  • The Gators will be facing a lefty-heavy rotation for the first time this season. The UF lineup hits 15 points higher against left-handed pitchers (.297 vs. RHP; .311 vs. LHP). 
  • Junior Jonathan India has a career-best 20-game hitting streak, the longest streak by a player in 11 seasons under O'Sullivan. India leads the SEC in batting average (.426), on-base percentage (.545) and slugging percentage (.870).
  • Junior Deacon Liput has a hit in 16 of the last 18 games and a current 9-game hitting streak. He went 8-for-16 (.500) at Tennessee with two homers and five RBI.
  • Freshman Jordan Butler has been the Gators hottest pitcher of late. He has not allowed a run in his last six outings (10.1 IP) and has yet to allow a run out of the bullpen this season (14.1 IP).

PARKING INFORMATION FOR SATURDAY

With lots of events taking place on campus Saturday, there are multiple parking options available for fans attending. All parking on campus will be open and available starting at 8 a.m., which is consistent with the time that lots open on a football game days. Public parking lots are very limited around the Stadium. All lots that are not reserved are available on a first-come, first-served basis. As always, parking on the grass and sidewalks is NOT permitted and any vehicles doing so are at risk of being towed.

  • Flavet Field will be available for parking for the Orange & Blue Game presented by Sunniland and the baseball game taking place on Saturday, April 14.
In an effort to tighten security around the stadium, starting 2.5 hours prior to kickoff, no vehicular traffic will be allowed on Lemerand Drive between University Avenue and Stadium Road. The closure will remain in effect until the end of the Orange & Blue game.

  • Jr. Spirit Day: Gators Spirit Teams hosting a Jr. Spirit Day for children ages 3-12.  Participants will receive a T Shirt and ticket to game and enjoy a pre-game clinic with Albert and Alberta.  After clinic, all will perform on field prior to game.
  • Community National Anthem: Prior to the game, all kids 12 and under can run onto the field and line the field with the Gator players during the National Anthem.
  • Autograph Alley: Immediately following the game, Gator players will be available to sign autographs in Autograph Alley.
