The UAA is looking to develop more consistency in wayfinding, signage and specialty graphics in all of its facilities and shared spaces.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – On the heels of the University Athletic Association release of its Facilities Master Plan, the UAA has now partnered with Dimensional Innovations to develop more consistency in wayfinding, signage and specialty graphics in all of its facilities and shared spaces that will impact the fan experience and recruiting.
"As we continue to invest in the infrastructure of our facilities that have such a tremendous impact on the daily experience of our student athletes and fans, our staff is truly excited about developing a vision that will bridge all of our facilities together in a way that does justice to the iconic Gator brand," Executive Associate Athletics Director for Internal Affair Laird Veatch said. "We partnered with Dimensional Innovations because of their vast experience and ability to keep our student-athletes, recruits and fans top of mind as work through this process with them over the coming years."
Dimensional Innovations has worked with multiple collegiate athletic programs and professional sports teams and stadiums to deliver a complete solution to environmental branding. They have experience developing a holistic approach across all facilities, and are seeing more and more universities recognizing the value that brings to the entire athletic program.
"We are incredibly proud to partner with such a forward-thinking team, and we are thankful that the University of Florida and UAA recognizes Dimensional Innovations' unique capabilities and passion for college sports. Most importantly, we are ecstatic we get to help shape a new experience and tell the stories of the Gators' student-athletes, fans, alumni and partners," said Drew Berst, Director of Collegiate Sports for Dimensional Innovations. "Much like the University of Florida and UAA, we are built on the idea of teamwork. We house all of the leadership and project resources our client's need in one place."
The UAA operates and maintains 12 athletic facilities and has space in two University of Florida facilities including both the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center and the College of Journalism's Weimer Hall.
The UAA has put together a Facility Branding Committee that is working directly with Dimensional Innovations to establish and execute short-term and long-term goals over the length of the three-year agreement, with options to extend beyond that.
In the immediate future, this committee will be evaluating current facilities in conjunction with UAA Construction Master Plan to prioritize projects. The ultimate goal is to create a championship experience inside all UAA venues by providing updated looks, branding and outward appearance.
