Former Gators who attended spring practice often spoke to the team with a specific message.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The entire spring has been as much about the past as well as the future. The proof in that statement comes from the 150 former UF players who attended the 2018 Orange & Blue Game and the countless amount of those individuals who came to spring practices leading up to that day.

"It's a great feeling being back," receiver Louis Murphy (2005-2008) said on April 14. "Words can't even explain it. It's just surreal. That's what Mullen was about – family. To have that back, it feels great."
All the former players have just not been invited back into the program to have a good time and reminisce, although all of that has happened, but to instill what Mullen refers to as the "Gator Standard" in the current squad.

"They've been here," Gators junior defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson said during spring ball. "They've done it. All these championships on the walls – they set the standard, so we have to step up and bring another one here."
Florida's video staff has able to capture some of the former players who have addressed the team thus far.
