Complete 2018 National Signing Day Class
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators welcomed a new addition to their 2018 signing class with JUCO transfer
Lucas Krull.
Krull, who enters this fall as a redshirt sophomore, transferred to Florida by way of Jefferson College where he played baseball for one season. During his 2017-18 campaign, the redshirt freshman appeared in 11 games, making five starts. He notched 27 strikeouts and only allowed 10 hits in 16.2 innings of play.Â
The Shawnee, Kan. native last played football in 2015, when he was a member of the 2015 Mill Valley state championship team after having helped the squad to a 12-1 record. Krull recorded 52 catches during the season, good for 745 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also notched 70 rushing yards and one touchdown on nine carries.
The Gators open up the 2018 season with a home game against Charleston Southern on Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
