Announced he would not apply for a sixth year of eligibility in 2018… Finished his career at Florida with an overall record of 0-2 as a starter… Statistically, Zaire completed 57.1 percent of his passes for 349 yards at UF with zero touchdowns and one interception… 2017: Played in just four games and made two starts (Missouri, South Carolina)… Suffered a season-ending injury during UF’s loss at the Gamecocks… Threw for 349 yards with one interception as he was 32-for-56 passing for a 105.92 pass efficiency rating... Totaled 22 rushing attempts for a net gain of 39 yards throughout the season… After losing the starting quarterback job in fall camp to Feleipe Franks, Zaire saw his first game action of the season in relief of the redshirt freshman in the season opener against Michigan… During that contest, he was 9-for-17 for 106 yards and one turnover… Saw his next game action in UF’s loss to Georgia as he relived Franks and led the Gators on its only scoring drive of the game… During that contest in Jacksonville, he recorded his season-best rushing total (30 yards) and passed for 36 yards on 3-of-6 attempts… Recorded a season-best 13 completes for 158 yards at Missouri after he was named the starting quarterback by interim head coach Randy Shannon… Enrolled at Florida as a graduate student in the summer of 2017. Totaled 34 yards on the ground on 20 rushing attempts… Recorded a season-high 49 yards passing again Nevada on Sept. 10… Tallied a season-best 35 yards rushing against Army on Nov. 12. 2015: Started the first two games of the season before suffering a season-ending ankle injury at Virginia... Completed 26-of-40 passes for 428 yards and four TDs on the season... Rushed for 103 yards on 19 carries... Five of his 17 carries went for a first down or touchdown... Totaled four rushes of at least 10 yards and one rush of 20 yards... Completed 19-of-22 passes (86.4%) for 313 yards and three TDs in Notre Dame's season-opening rout of Texas (Sept. 5)... That was the longest rush by a Notre Dame quarterback since Oct. 8, 2011, when Andrew Hendrix had a 78-yard rush against Air Force... 2013: Did not see any game action for the Irish. High School: Earned 2012 Associated Press Ohio Division III Southwest District Offensive Player of the Year accolades with 1,990 yards passing, 1,120 yards on the ground and 33 total TDs (24 passing TDs and nine rushing TDs)… Garnered 2012 AP Ohio Southwest All-District Division III First Team honors... Threw for 251 yards and five touchdown in Alter's 2012 season-opening win over Kettering Fairmont while running for another 171 yards and a TD... Led Alter to a 10-0 regular-season record as a junior in 2011 before losing in first round of playoffs...
