No. 10 Gators Extend Winning Streak to Seven

Freshman Andi Sellers provided the only goal of the match as Florida claimed a 1-0 win at Wake Forest.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ‑In a rematch of last year's second round NCAA Tournament game, the University of Florida women's soccer team (10-2-1,3-1) defeated Wake Forest (8-4-1) 1-0 in Winston-Salem at Spry Stadium in front of 450.  UF is now 2-0 against Wake Forest in program history.

Just like against UNC-Greensboro all of the scoring came in the second-half. The Gators out-shot the Demon Deacons 10-3 in the first-half.

Andi Sellers broke the scoreless tie at the 55:18 point of the second half for her ninth goal of the season.  Sellers stands tied for second in goals scored with sophomore Sarah Yohe.

Sellers' goal would be all the offense the Gators would need as they went on to a 2-1 win.

The Gators return home to face in-state rival Florida State on Wednesday, Oc. 15 at 7 p.m.
