GAINESVILLE, Fla. ‑ The University of Florida women's soccer team(8-2-1, 3-1) got the go-ahead goal against Butler University (4-4-1)in the second period of sudden-death overtime to claim the 2-1 at Percy Beard Stadium in front of a crowd of 1,056.
 
Butler's Alicia Franklin gave the Bulldogs an early 1-0 lead with a 16-yard cross from the left corner at the 3:26 point of the first half.  Franklin's goal was the only scoring for either team in the opening half.
 
The Gators tied the score in the second half when sophomore Sarah Yohe scored her eighth goal of the season with a header off a cross from Heather Mitts.  The goal was Yohe's sixth goal in her last three matches.  Regulation ended with the score knotted at 1-1.
 
Sophomore Angie Olson broke the tie just a minute and a half into the second overtime period with a 30-yard blast to give the Gators the 2-1 win.  The goal was Olson's fourth of the season and first game-winning goal of the season.
 
The Gators travel to North Carolina next week to face North Carolina-Greensboro Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. and Wake Forest Sunday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m.
