Freshman Lady Gator Golfer Leads at Ohio State

Freshman Lady Gator golfer Brittany Straza (Ft. Myers, Fla./ Lehigh) leads the Lady Buckeye Fall Invitational at Ohio State after the first two rounds on Saturday with a score of 70-75—145. The first round score was the lowest Florida score of the season and puts Straza one stroke ahead of Sarah Johnston of Alabama, who posted a 76-70---146. The team is currently in eighth place with a two-round score of 304-326—630. The Lady Gators are 27 strokes behind first place Alabama, who posted a first day total of 305-298—603. The first round score of 304 had the Lady Gators in second place the early going.
Straza was followed by fellow freshmen Jeanne Cho (Boulogne, France/ St. Stephen's Episcopal), who stands in 33rd place with a score of 78-80—158 and Sam Zausner White (Rockville, Md./ Bullis School), who is in 39th place with a score of 74-87—161 in her first collegiate tournament. Sophomore Lauren Shniderman (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./ Saint Andrews) tied for 47th place, finishing with an 82-84—166. Freshman Sarah Coleson (Orlando, Fla./ William R. Boone), also playing in her first collegiate tournament, is tied with Shniderman, scoring 84-82—166. Coleson is only playing individually in the tournament. Junior Dana von Louda (Gainesville, Fla./ Buchholz) is currently in 60th place, with a score of 83-91-174.
Play will conclude on Sunday with the final round. The shotgun start will be at 8:30 a.m.
