Gators Donate $100,000 to School Library System

The University Athletic Association has donated $100,000 from proceeds of pay-for-view television of 2000 season home football games against Ball State and Middle Tennessee State to Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida, Gator Director of Athletics Jeremy Foley announced today.
"We're proud that our athletic program can contribute to this vital resource which enhances academic excellence at the University," said Foley. "Our fans who subscribe to these telecasts make this possible."
Since l988 the proceeds from these pay-for-view football telecasts have been used to donate $480,000 to the Smathers Libraries.
