For the second consecutive night Florida got all of the runs they needed in the first three innings and went on to defeat Fordham 11-3 Wednesday. Florida improves to 11- 10 while Fordham falls to 1-4.

Florida's middle infield combination of Kevin Estrada and Mark Kiger led the way offensively. Estrada stole home in the second inning and went 3-4 with two runs scored. Kiger extended his hit streak to 10 games with a 3 for 5 performance. Kiger had two RBI and two runs along with 6 infield assists. Kiger was a homerun short of the cycle, in order.
Florida starter Scott Drucker (1-0) picked up his first career victory going 4.0 innings on a pitch count. Drucker allowed one run and struck out one batter. Fordham starter Bryan Kelly (0-1) took the loss giving up four runs, three earned in five innings of work.
Ryan Shealy went 2 for 4 with one RBI and extended his hitting streak to 18 games. Shealy reached base three times with two singles and a walk. Florida got on the board in the bottom of the first on Shealy's single scoring leadoff hitter Aaron Davidson.
Florida got two more runs in the second. Pat Osborn reached on a walk and later scored on a Brian Rose sacrifice fly. Kevin Estrada, who had reached with a double, moved to third on the Rose sacrifice fly. Estrada then stole home for the Gators' third run. The last time a Gator stole home was Brad Wilkerson on April 8, 1998 against Bethune Cookman.
Fordham battled back to within a 4-2 deficit in the sixth inning but Florida reliever Kenny Birch got out of the inning.
Florida travels to LSU for a three game series this weekend. Game times are: Friday 8 p.m. ET, Saturday 5 p.m. ET and Sunday 1 p.m. ET. All games can be heard on the Gator Radio Network.
