Women's golf Seventh at Lady Gamecock Classic

The University of Florida women's golf team is in seventh out of 11 teams with a score of 311 (+23) after the first round of the Lady Gamecock Classic hosted by the University of South Carolina on Friday.
Sophomore Brittany Straza led the Lady Gators, finishing in a tie for fifth with her score of 73 (+1). Sophomore Jeanne Cho is currently tied for 22nd, firing a round of 77 (+5). Red-shirt freshman Joy Stephenson tied for 34th with her score of 80 (+8), while freshman Amanda Dick shot a 81 (+9) to tie for 38th and junior Kim Best is tied for 58th with her score of 89 (+17).
The tournament will continue with the second round on Saturday. The tournament's final round will be played on Sunday.
