Twenty-Four Student-Athletes to Graduate Saturday

Twenty-four student-athletes will be among the University of Florida students taking part in the summer commencement ceremonies on Saturday, August 11. The graduating class includes 11 of the record 133 student-athletes named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll this past academic year.
The graduates include five a piece from football and baseball, four from women's track, two a piece from men's track and women's basketball and one each from gymnastics, softball, women's swimming, women's tennis, men's golf, and men's tennis. In addition, two members of the athletic association's support staff receiving their degrees on Saturday.
One of the graduates, baseball player Matt Siegel, will be receiving his second degree. He first graduated with a degree in finance in May 2000.
Commencement ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
