Gators Prepare for Sunday's SEC Home Opener

On Sunday, January 12, the Gators entertain rival Georgia (9-4, 0-0 SEC) in their SEC home opener. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. ET.
Sunday's Story Lines
Florida looks to get back on the winning track and secure its first SEC win under head coach Carolyn Peck. The Gators dropped their conference opener on Thursday at Ole Miss, 74-72.
Florida's modest eight-game home winning streak, which includes six victories this season, is the fourth longest in program history.
Sunday is the SEC opener for the Lady Bulldogs, who are 5-1 all-time when playing Florida in their SEC opener.
The last five games in this series has been won by the home team.
UF freshman Danielle Santos is a native of Marietta, Ga., while Georgia sophomore Jessica Pierce hails from Pensacola, Fla.
The Lady Bulldogs have not played since defeating California 94-61 on January 4th.
Georgia is one of 12 teams on UF's schedule that is receiving votes in the most recent USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll.
Florida was selected by the SEC media during the preseason to finish eighth in the league standings, while Georgia was slotted fourth.

Pre-game there will be clowns and O2B Kids face painters in the concourse.
Nike Squirt Bottle Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans will receive a free squirt bottle courtesy of Nike.
Gator Mixer: Fast Break Club members, season ticket and Gold Card holders are invited to a pre-game mixer to kick-off the SEC season in the lobby area of Gate 2.
Scout Day: Area boy and girl scouts receive $1 admission to the game. Scouts in attendance will receive uniform patches for attending. Troops are encouraged to make creative banners. The troop with the most creative banner wins $100.00.
4-H Day: all of the area 4-H programs are invited to the game for $1 admission. Prior to the game, 4-H groups will be allowed to set-up displays promoting their various programs in the gate 3 area.
Albert's Birthday Party: Fans celebrate Albert's birthday at the game. Kids can create birthday cards for Albert and submit them for a contest, the most creative card wins an half-hour appearance from Albert at the winner's birthday party. Post-game, Albert will share his birthday cake with children in attendance.
